Course Overview
Overview: The BA (Hons) Music Programmes will offer a breadth of practical, theoretical, experiential and academic learning opportunities from ‘a rich field of study’. Students will study music practices, arrangement and composition, song writing, ensemble direction, musical analysis, audio recording and studio production, musicianship skills, research methods and frameworks, presentation skills, music history and context, the music business, entrepreneurship and networking, promotions and preparation for employment. They will develop skills in social networking, media promotions, business, marketing, publicity, and plan and mange music-related ventures. They will work individually, in small groups, large groups, in the community, with clients, with music production students, collaborating with other performance arts courses and with external companies, on their own initiated projects, and through guided learning*
