Course Overview
The course duration is one academic year with weekly attendance following a 13 hour timetable.
We work in partnership with Lee Stafford Education, candidates will be able to experience and develop a wide range of technical skills.This practically based qualification is ideal preparation for training on the job or specialist further study.
The qualification includes 10 units and is delivered through continual assessment of practical competence and Evolve Online testing of underpinning knowledge.

* Health and safety
* Client consultation
* Shampoo and condition the hair & scalp
* Promote products and services
* Cut women’s hair
* Cut men's hair
* Style and dressing hair
* Colour and lighten hair
* Salon reception duties
* Create an image
No formal qualifications are required
Progression options are:
Employment in a salon / barbers as a junior stylist
Progression on to Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Hairdressing
Level 2 Beauty Therapy / Nail Qualifications
L3 Theatrical Make-up
Coursework, Observation and Portfolio
