This qualification is for students wanting to develop some of the key skills and understanding in motor vehicle systems. This significantt and robust qualification will give students the basic skills needed to apply for an automotive apprenticeship or similar engineering pathway.It permits students to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the automotive industry. These qualifications were developed in collaboration with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), the sector skills council for the automotive retail industry and other awarding organisations and therefore are fully supported by the industry.
