Course Overview
Overview: This course is designed to develop the next generation of Musical Theatre performers and theatre-makers here in the UK City of Culture.
The programme has a strong emphasis on a collaborative union between Acting, Singing and Dancing, focusing on the importance of creating successful practitioners and performers in all three specialisms.The programme will look at Contemporary Musical Theatre aiming to move with current performance trends and works being created.
You will be given the space and skills to explore your own technique, performance and creative skills as well as in-house residencies with Professional Musical Theatre practitioners.
Entry Requirements: Is 64 UCAS points, and we will also consider applications from mature students with industry experience or other accredited prior learning (APL).

Modules: In the first year the focus will be autobiographical – you learn about yourself and what you are bringing to a space as a performer. You will learn about the methods and strategies of making performance using autobiography as your material. You are encouraged to question your attitudes, values and understandings and translate these discoveries into original performance work.
Assessment: We will always assess students through a variety of methods and learning styles, this includes assessments such as performance, written submissions, portfolio-based practice and presentations.
Fees: £7500 per year/level of study

Contact Hours: Timetabled sessions will be eight hours a week, there will be expected self-directed study and an additional commitment to workshop/studio which will equate to a total of 15 hours per week.
