If you already work or wish to work in an early years environment, whether employed or in a voluntary position, and are looking for a way to get even better at caring for young people as well as keeping up-to-date with all policy developments, then the Foundation Degree Young Children’s Learning and Development is the course for you.Learning about both key management skills and child development, you’ll turn the theory you learn into hands-on practice. We will support you to find placements that you will need to carry out on the programme. We will also ensure you have a workplace module tutor to ensure you get the support you need to succeed.If you are looking for ways to accelerate your career prospects in childcare management, or you are thinking about running your own nursery and want a course that is flexible to work around your schedule, apply for your place on the Foundation Degree Young Children’s Learning and Development. Entry Requirements: A suitable L3 qualification, GCSE (or equivalent) English, voluntary or employed placement and a satisfactory DBS. The IELTS Score for all entrants is 6.5 UCAS CODE: X301 Level Four Modules: Play Based Learning (20 credits) Professional Practice: Academic Skills (20 credits) Child Development (20 credits) Collaborative Practice (20 credits) Observation and Physical Well-being in the Early Years (20 credits) Supporting Children with Special Needs (20 credits) Assessment: Takes on a variety of formats such as poster presentations, written assessments, presentations and observations. Fees: £7500 This programme is approved by Hull College Group Contact Hours: The FT programme is eight hours of contact time per week, you are also expected to complete self-directed study on a weekly basis to extend your subject knowledge.
