Course Overview
The Level 3 programme gives you the opportunity to experience aspects of the industry through a mixture of theory and practice, equipping you with the essential knowledge and skills required to progress to employment or higher education in a related field of study.
You will undertake a substantial work placement in a range of settings and develop specialist skills and knowledge, covering Anatomy & Physiology, infection prevention, as well as physiological, sociological and psychological health care perspectives and working practices.
The Level 3 programme in Health and Social Care has been
designed to enable students to access Higher Education or assist
with progression into the workplace, to various support roles
in areas such as residential care homes, nursing homes, day
centres, children’s centres, health centres, supported or sheltered
accommodation, domiciliary or community care and respite care.
You will also benefit from our links with the NHS and particularly the Young Health Champions Volunteering Programme which will give you an invaluable insight into different job roles within the NHS.
