HE Students Enjoy Graduation Ceremonies

November 10, 2021

Higher Education students from Hull College gathered at Hull City Hall this week as we celebrated their success and achievements at our annual HE Graduation Ceremony.

Students who completed degree-level programmes at the college in 2020 and 2021 were honoured on Monday 8th November and Tuesday 9th November respectively, with more than 170 students - donned in traditional caps and gowns - attending across the two days.

The graduates came from a wide range of courses, including business, criminology, young children's learning & development, health & social care, construction, engineering, architecture, teacher training, fine art, fashion, music, photography, film-making, theatre production and musical theatre.

Following a vocal medley performance by BA (Hons) Musical Theatre Performance students, family and friends of the graduates were welcomed by Master of Ceremony and Director of Higher Education, Mark Foster. Both events also featured an inspirational keynote speech from actor, director and playwright John Godber - one of the most performed writers in the English language.

The achievements of all students were acknowledged, with each graduate called up onto the stage for a special moment of recognition where they received their traditional graduation scroll and posed for an official photograph.
