Our Level 2 & Level 3 Travel & Tourism students enjoyed an excellent enrichment trip to Alton Towers this week.
A fantastic day was had by everyone who made the 120-mile journey to Stoke-on-Trent, which provided the opportunity for both groups to spend time together and create new bonds. On top of that, they also had the chance to explore the key features of the UK’s No.1 theme park! Everyone was even brave enough to face the spooks, frights and thrills provided by the resort's Halloween-themed event - 'Scarefest'.
Beverley Watson, Travel & Tourism Lecturer, said: "I was really impressed with the students on the day. Their behaviour and attitude was exemplary and nothing short of exceptional.
"The whole trip proved to be very beneficial for their learning and development, as they focused on and studied the entertainment team at Alton Towers, to see how they interacted with customers around the resort and the Halloween-themed attraction in particular.
"It was great to receive positive feedback from the groups as well, with the students describing the trip as 'amazing, fun and scary'.”
