The entire Hull College community has been shocked and saddened by the horrific events unfolding in Ukraine.
Humanitarian needs in the country are escalating by the hour, civilian casualties are growing, essential services are being disrupted - with many Ukrainians forced to flee their homes as a result.
With this in mind, we have started a collection of various essential food, toiletries and first aid items, which will be transferred to a donation centre before being shipped out to support refugees in need.
Staff, students - and members of the public - can drop off any donations to the Reprographics office located down B Corridor (B23) on our Queen's Gardens campus. Items needed include:
Hygiene products such as pads, tampons, nappies, wet wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, soap, face masks, hand sanitiser etc.
Basic medications such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, bandages etc.
Groceries such as tea, coffee, pasts, instant/dried food, tinned food and rice etc, along with baby and toddler food such as porridge and modified milk.
Other items such as warm clothing, blankets, power banks, batteries and flashlights are also welcomed.
Anyone wanting to make a cash donation can do so via our registered British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal JustGiving page here.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this unnecessary war, as well as their loved ones across the world.
Thank you for your support.
