Course Overview
Overview: Teaching is an attractive option for anyone with a passion for learning who may want to pass this on to others. This long standing course is validated by the highly respected University of Huddersfield. This course is designed for graduates wishing to gain a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education in the post compulsory sector (note this qualification does not qualify you to teach in the primary or secondary sector). The course teaches you how to develop a curriculum, helping you to improve your teaching skills and identify key areas where you can develop your professional abilities. Applicants must complete 100 hours classroom teaching in the year. Once you have completed the course, you can expect to be working in a lifelong learning environment with all the relevant skills that you need to support the students in your care.
Entry Requirements: A good relevant Undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification.
Modules Studied: Research Informed Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Becoming a Subject Specialist Teacher, Being a Subject Specialist Teacher, Policy and Professional Issues.
