Overview: On the BA (Hons) Criminology (Top-up) you’ll study crime committed by both the powerful and powerless, looking at individual responsibility and consequences in relation to gender, ethnicity and crime. Students work at the cutting edge of Criminology, understanding the cause and nature of crime.You’ll study the latest theories and strategies in contemporary criminology, examining current trends such as the rise in cyber crime and extremist terrorism, with a range of modules looking at violence, sexual and child exploitation and victimology.The course is a career enhancing opportunity for anyone wanting to work in policing, the legal profession, or supporting victims and offenders, with practical experience taught alongside research and academic skills.
